Last year’s pair had been here for a few years already and were truly a well-coordinated team and caring parents. Mom was limping toward the end of the season, but she still fulfilled her duties. Then, after a severe storm, the camera went out.

I hope she and Dad are doing well and have just found/built another nest. I don’t even want to think about anything else (territorial fights with this pair, or that one of them isn’t doing well or is even dead).πŸ˜”

I always wonder what happened to last year pair. They were wonderful to watch. That was my 1st season, so don't know a lot about them, but that baby was so adorable.

Yes, it’s the same pair, which is obviously still quite young and in the bonding phase. They’re also still a bit clumsy when it comes to nest-building, but VERY much in love. I don’t think we’ll have any more eggs this year!
