In reply to Denise. No, Denise, they aren't the same eagles as last year. Last season, I enlarged photos of the parents and compared them with pics of this pair. It's definitely a different pair. Besides, the two of them are acting completely differently here. Last season’s parents had used this nest before and were very familiar with it. This pair, on the other hand, acts like newcomers—they seem a bit clumsy. In my opinion, they’re still young and still in the bonding phase.

In reply to Ryn (One). They are not the same parents as last season? I didn't get to see much of last season, just the tail end when fledgling kept coming back to eat at nest then cams went down, so I would not know the difference anyway...was just curious 😊

7/28 Much activity in the Verreaux's eagles' nest. At least five twigs were brought in and placed in the nest, even if sometimes a little clumsily. I'm still convinced that this is a young pair.
