I used to have some here; they ate peanuts I put out for them. Unfortunately, the number of jays here is steadily declining. They're so beautiful, I also like their heads, which are larger than those of most other birds relative to their bodies.

We call them the “Guardians of the Forest.” They bury acorns, which—with a lot of luck—will grow into oak trees later on.
