Thank you, AM, for your kind words. It brings me so much joy to watch all these animals and to keep learning something new. Yes, we’re all hoping for a good season, but at the same time we know there will be tragedies again. You never get used to it—which, by the way, is a good thing! And it makes you feel humble and grateful. And sometimes you feel resigned when you have to watch how hard all these animals have to fight for their lives and survival.

Isn't it also strange that we feel happy and content when “our” young are being fed in their nests…with prey that has to die so that they can survive? And that these animals sometimes leave behind babies or young that starve to death because one parent is dead. Yes, nature!

In any case, I look forward to seeing you again and again on all these wonderful pages!

I echo this post Shari. Ryn, aka ONE, your posts are awesome and what I check out most beyond the awesome live feeds! I watch a lot of nests, and am amazed that you do too and are so engaged and knowledgeable! Let's hope for great next seasons for all the nests, although that can't be guaranteed. It just makes you realize the hardship of nature that occurs day in and day out for all animals and mammals. It is tough and we just witness some of what occurs, both good and tragic. My husband sadly put out our humming bird feeders today in central Ontario Canada – my records show they are already gone, but we are so hopeful each year for one last sighting. I am down in southern US and getting excited to see all the migratory birds start to arrive – a never ending cycle, thankfully and hopefully.

And because we can speak of that sweet spirited baby often, s/he can be remembered here in a post.We should do that 🥰
