Those sound like interesting books, Janet! I used to only watch especially bald eagles (and ospreys), but then I came across Nature Chat and “discovered” that there’s so much more out there than just bald eagles. There are other interesting eagle species, too, as well as many other birds of prey and storks… If only I had more time to watch and read about everything I’d like to…

This book is from 2021 and it's fantastic. Interesting information and wonderful photos, I highly recommend it. The flight shows must be so amazing. One day I'll go there!

And talking about books, I've now started in another one I recently bought: Geheimnisvoller Schwarzstorch – Bengt-Thomas Gröbel & Martin Hormann. It has a wonderful 12 photo-overview what the little storks will look like at various ages. I look forward to learning more!

I googled Loburg and Berlebeck, I’d never heard of them before. Adlerwarte Berlebeck must be wonderful. It must be so fantastic to see these animals/birds up close.

Hopefully, after this reaction from dad, the eagle will decide that it’s too much trouble and goes elsewhere. Fingers crossed!

I never wanted to watch storks, scared to see the parents throw the chicks out of the nest, but with such a dad (I am still in awe from seeing the video) I will give it a go.
I recently bought the book about Prinzeßchen’s travels on ebay, and found the documentary on youtube. I have added going to the Storchenhof Loburg to my bucket list. (The Adlerwarte Berlebeck is on wish number one).

Hi, Janet! I’ve only been watching black storks here in Nature Chat since last year, and I’ve really grown fond of them. Such cute babies and such caring parents, especially the dad!
