Some of the fish brought to the nest come from what is known as a “fish basket.”

"The basket is located at about 4 km (2, miles) from the nest, on a small forest road, easier to reach. The parents found the basket. In the pictures below we presumably see the female.
The fish basket is over 100 km (62 miles) from Urmas’ home. So, fishing + driving take a lot of time. He filled the basket 6 times over the past three weeks. Local people will take over the work. Urmas hopes that will work. Urmas will try to refill the basket today, if he manages to catch enough fish in this rainy weather. He hopes the fish basket will not flood with all that rain.

The two stork chicks were culled when they were 17 and 20 days old, respectively, which is very late. Regarding this, here is an interesting post by Anne7 on the forum. 6/14 Starting at 15:43 … male tried to kill two kids. The smaller one, which he had attacked the most and placed at the edge of the nest, managed to make it back to the others. Apparently, both are still alive. I can't say more because I didn't really watch.

Data indicates that with 5 storklets for the black stork species, the approximate survival rate of all 5 fledging without being victim to filial infanticide is slightly more than 60%. In other words, there's almost a 40% chance that one of these 5 storklets will be culled by one of the adults. If filial infanticide does happen here, the storklet chosen will most likely be the last one to hatch and most likely because the feeding of 5 is more food demand than the adult storks can provide.
